Checklist Overview
Checklists are a set of validations to be automated by Klarity within a business process. Checklists ensure the defined validations are performed consistently across an entire population of transactions.
Data is first extracted from multiple sources that include both documents and integrated systems. Klarity uses the extracted data to review for key terms, match (or compare) data to identify any potential discrepancies, or perform calculations.
Extraction Capabilities
The underlying data that lives in documents and systems must first be collected to perform the necessary “checks” or validations within the checklist for consistency and accuracy. Klarity leverages various extraction methods and metadata by defining and configuring the parameters required.
These various extraction methods will then be used to identify and pull data in multiple formats such as free-text, tabular and even detect signatures which will then be used within the Checklists described above.
System Integrations
Klarity’s integration flow is system agnostic and functions equally across various CPQ, CLM, ERP and other business systems.
Klarity’s iPass Solution provides flexible integration options that include our own in-house iPaaS platform via Workato; an existing iPaaS platform (Tray, Celigo, Boomi, Mulesoft, etc); or another custom integration service.
In all cases Klarity uses an AWS S3 bucket to facilitate data transfer, and therefore, does not need to implement a custom API integration with either the Source and Destination business systems OR an existing iPaaS Solution.

Calculations
Calculations can be included in Checklists and are performed by configuring formulas and defining the sources and data inputs required. Calculations can be standard arithmetic formulas, conditional logic formulas, or multi-step formulas from simple to complex.
Dynamic Formulas take calculations to the next level by understanding prompts, defining the formula that will provide the desired outcome, identifying and extracting the data, and then performing the actual calculation. This is all fully auditable for every function and calculation performed.
Reporting
Reporting and output is critical to realize the full value of GenAI. There are multiple tools and features for understanding, analyzing and utilizing the power of Klarity.
AI Analysis - allows users to easily interact with and visualize data through a chat interface. This feature acts as a personal “data analyst” handling both simple and complex queries with various methods of output including both text and graphs.
Search - allows customers to filter results based on specific checklist values and document types.
Semantic Search - takes the search function further by using AI to understand the meaning behind the search terms, enabling analyses that go beyond traditional tools like Tableau or Excel. This includes tasks like summarizing contract language variations, generating standard versions of contract language, and providing insights into non-standard terms and their implications.
